Description 

John is a reasonably tall man, well built, with scars all over his body which include a claw mark on his neck, a large uneven scar on his shoulder, claw marks on side of his chest, stab wounds to the abdomen, bullet wounds to the leg and shoulder, a burn scar on his left hand, claw marks on his back. He has blue eyes and dark brown hair that looks more black.

Early Life 

Raised in Dullwater, John's early life was pretty mundane. Working on a ranch, usually cleaning out the stables. As John grew older life became more difficult, His Mother Caroline became addicted to opiates after receiving them for a back injury sustained in a horse riding accident. She was never able to beat the addiction and in her last years of life, forgot John completely. His father unable to live without her killed himself shortly after. Jeb, John's older brother ran the ranch while John helped after this. a few years later John and Jeb became close with the local Native tribe who resided in the forest lands behind the ranch, they shared a lot of time together, One winter night the tribe was massacred by a militia of old confederate soldiers and new men who shared the old beliefs. one little girl survived the night by the name of Kateri, they found shelter in the barn of John's ranch. John found her the next morning and he and Jeb decided to look after her and then find a tribe who might be able to help. around 10 months passed and Kateri and John had grown a bond, John now 29 now looked after Kateri like a big older brother. After returning from a cattle drive, There was a commotion in the town and Kateri was laying dead at the gates of the town, Scalped. Townsfolk had seen men entering the town last night and drinking in the saloon and spewing bigoted nonsense. upon hearing the description and hearing a name, John set out for revenge.

Before John could leave and track these men down, Prescott Oil and Coal firm came to the ranch and offered to buy the ranch, claiming they believed oil to be below. Jeb refused the offer. One night as they slept, John heard the horses restless in the barn and looked from his window on the ground floor. to see the barn ablaze, and then the house also igniting. John quickly jumped from the window and tried to see who would cause this. Seeing men running away, all dressed smartly. John's attention turned to Jeb. The house was engulfed by flames and all John could hear was the screams of his brother as he burnt alive. John sat as the rain came and doused the remaining embers. A group of men returned to check if their work had been successful, recognizing them as Prescott's men, john grabbed his gun and killed the 3 men who had returned. before trying to find his brother's remains in the fire and burying him on the grounds of the ranch.

Lawmen arrived and accused John of Killing his brother and burning the ranch down in an opiate fuelled rage, and the men who john had killed had come to help put out the fire. Realizing the Lawmen had been paid off, John fled and headed for the train that he could see in the distance. Finally reaching it, not knowing where it was going, He soon found himself in Armadillo...

Present Life 

John's happy in his present life, after months of loneliness and hardships and threats, John found peace with Mollie Byrd. A woman he loves dearly, together they run The Vault and have found their place in the community, while there are still complications with people they know, they spend most of their time together enjoying the world. He trusts Mollie like nobody he has trusted before. His friend circle is widening but his close friends remain the same. Evaline Sanderson who he considers as close to a sister as can be. Apollo Alovich who he see's as a brother, Sal Sullivan who he trusts with his life and would be who he went to if he needed help. As well as Henry Weston who has been his friend since his first week in state, and while their friendship is different it is still important to John. Then there is Cosmo Kray, who is the bane of his life, a younger brother of sorts who has disappointed John more times than he can count. He loves them but is growing tired of their inability to do the right thing for longer than 3 days.

John's aspirations changed during his time in the state, originally wanting to own a ranch as it is what he knew, He started to move away from the idea and wanted to make more of a difference. Now with the vault and the connections he is making, he is looking for ways him and Mollie can find their place in society and be in a position to make change for the better.
