Early Life 

A man with great respect for the entertainment business.

As a young boy Charles and his brother Jonathan joined the circus where
he performed magic tricks and his brother archery and gunnery.
When the Oakleys gained the attention in their whole hometown they
quickly grew as the "Belfast Twins" performance act.

Charles' love for arts became greater and greater as he got older.
Every time he performed the crowd was amazed and one time he had to fill in for a clown and learned
that comedy is a fantastic way to entertain. He implemented jokes into his magic act and became the circus' main act!

Even though he got quite popular the money wasn’t enough. He wanted more…
Charles figured sleight of hand could be used in different ways. Pickpocketing was something he got good at, so he did during every show.
So, when the Caughney Circus performed at Galway, Charles and Jonathan robbed the local bank where Charles obtained the keys to the vaults
and Jonathan did al the gun shooting and threatening.

This the "Belfast Twins" repeated everytime and everywhere they went but Belfast, the bank there they wouldn't touch.
Though once they finally tried the Dublin bank, and everything went well until the part of the escape. The authorities were right on track and
the brothers had to split. Charles jumped unto a boat that travelled to New Alexandria.

In isolation Charles started writing a book "Charcoal - Anomalies" and he wrote about everything he went through and saw in his first year in New Alexandria.

After being lost in the New Austin desert he met a wounded man named "Bear". Charles helped him up and worked on his wounds. As Bear got better Charles explained his need for adventure and asked him if he could help him with that and so, Charles joined him and another associate in a store robbery. This was not very successful.

Even though his failure Bear did quite enjoy having Charles around and so Charles became a Jackdaws prospect.
