Summary
On the 19th of December, 1899, a Train would depart St Denis with the sole objective of collecting bonds from the various telegram stations and post offices along the rail, for eventual deposit into the St Denis bank. The Train would make two trips around the circuit in an attempt to minimize bonds lost if the train were to be hit. Deputies were requisitioned as security for the bonds to be secured. A Criminal group known as The Krays managed to beat out all of their competition, using a wagon to get the train stopped, and a good choke point up North near Wapiti Nation, and seize control of the train for the majority of the transportation, using the deputies as hostages and to authorize the release of bonds at various post offices and telegram stations, no deputies ended up hurt as a result of the actions of The Krays, resulting in a bloodless robbery that drained the bonds dry.
History
Companies across New Alexandria will employ the Sheriff's Department to spare a few deputies to try and secure their investment of money, bonds, or other items of value. This was another occurrence where someone just couldn't let the job go quietly, and word of the bonds transport quickly got around to the various criminals that call New Alexandria home.
Long Term Effect(s)
With every major financial transport event, they always attract the wrong kind of attention, and typically when they get hit pretty hard, there's a long while before another large opportunity comes around. This was also a major win for The Krays, who have gone through generations of upstarts and members attempting to revive the glory days of The Krays.
