Description 

Early Life 

The bastard son of a Prussian noble, Oskar spent many years in the dungeons of a castle as if he didn't exist. He was friendly with the guards but they were not to him. His mother, a peasant, was killed shortly after his birth before his father's wife found out about her and Oskar. He had books, at least - and was forced to work. He had barely spoken and he barely remembered any German or Russian that was taught to him. English was what his books came in - so he learnt that way.

However, it obviously wasn't a pleasure knowing that the weapons and ammo he made was going to be used against him if he had tried to escape - so he developed the elaborate plan of 'loading the ammo with too much powder to the point where they would explode in their hands and maybe kill them.' A training exercise soon led to the deaths of at least two guards - but no traces led back to Oskar - as he had gained respect for the ammo he had made. Unfortunately, this came at the cost of another man called Kristup - who the blame was pinned on. This guilt has stayed with Oskar since the event, but the ensuing riot as the prisoners feared for their lives allowed him a chance to escape. Stealing the small amounts of money from the deceased, he had made his way to the halls where he stole what he could carry in a small bag that he had ripped off of a guard. Jewellery, silverware, brass. Anything he could sell quickly and get him enough money to get the hell out of Königsberg.

Three weeks later, Oskar had managed to sell everything that he had and was living with a peasant family. He had already had enough money for himself to get out weeks ago - but the hospitality the family had provided was worth staying to give them a better chance. Half to himself - half to them. He had departed and got himself a horse, supplies, knife and a rope. He travelled for two months - reaching Hamburg and eventually a ticket to somewhere far far away.

His boat was intended for New York, however, the news of the hurricane never reached him, the ship's crew nor their passengers. His boat came under siege as water and waves waged war against him - many passengers and the crew falling victim to the wrath of Poseidon. His boat was taken off course and they tried to make their way to land as soon as they could - but they couldn't beach a boat. The closest port was Saint Denis. Oskar had read about New Alexandria whilst he was in the castle, but the books were incredibly outdated.
