Description
Peace of Mind Scholarship Fund (PMSF) is a fund meant to aid the State of New Alexandria in bettering themselves through education, assistance with food insecurity, and more.
History
Peace of Mind Scholarship Fund was born out of necessity when the need to increase the prices for self-defense classes presented Lana Molotov with the conflict of not wanting to exploit those in need. As a result, she founded the Peace of Mind Scholarship Fund with the intent of using donations and charity fundraisers to help fund classes for those unable to afford the price increases. She established the fund and designated Celeste Ward as its coordinator to ensure it got the proper attention it needed.
The outpouring of hearts and donations revealed that the fund could be used to help more than just those seeking self-defense. The fund was then expanded to include any form of tuition that helped better a person's life as well as events such as the Thanks Giving Feast of 1899 that also purchased free meal coupons from Bastion Creamery with the intent to feed 64 families. The fund also helps to sponsor events for the youth of New Alexandria, ensuring that even in the most trying of times they are able to take a moment to be a kid again.
