    Description

Quincy is an athletic young man of strong build and mild attitude. Born and raised a Saint Denis pauper, Quincy is usually dressed in contemporary boy's fashion - most of it second hand.
His head bears tidily cut, obnoxiously blonde hair that is often combed neatly during train service.
His eyes are a stormy shade of green that appears grey.
A dominant feature of his face are rather large, thick lips that are often expressive in tandem with his eyes and brows, even when he does not speak.
Quincy is well mannered and mostly quiet in his public life, but prone to cracking an oafish smile. He is easily excited by things foreign to him and always a curious listener.

    Early Life

The news was highly unexpected, most especially to the woman it effected most. Life had taken Linda Cooper in many odd directions before, and it looked as though she was due for another swerve. At the age of 21, she had become pregnant - with someone's child. As for who, she did not know. She'd already run from any family that could help her, and she'd loose her job if she chose to have and keep a child. It would be an unimaginable burden upon a single woman in the Saint Denis slums already struggling to make ends meet, but she didn't let such worries stop her. While she could not be entirely certain of what the future would bring, she knew she wanted to raise her child - even if she'd have to do it alone.

Quincy was born on March 3rd, 1884, welcomed into the community of the Saint Denis paupers as a healthy baby boy. While she had expected a girl, Linda knew exactly what to call her newborn son - naming him "Quincy" after a mysterious good Samaritan who assisted her early in her pregnancy.

With no blood family to turn to, Quincy would grow up calling his friends and neighbors family. His mother's closest friends became aunts and uncles to him, with their children being like cousins. The neighbors in the Saint Denis apartments gave a young Quincy a sense of belonging amid a community that cared, even if it shifted and changed quite often. Regardless of people moving away for work or leaving the city for the country, Quincy always had an extended support group to rely on.

At a young age, Quincy joined the work force by earning dimes a day in the local factories, his longest employment within a workhouse being a heavy lifting job for a match factory. An active, work laden childhood coupled with love and support from his mother shaped Quincy into a strong young man, who was seen by most as fine for a bastard. Even when living in poverty, Quincy adhered to his mother's strong wisdom that taught against seeking material wealth for its own sake, and being content with his lot in life no matter the odds. This is a philosophy which he carries to this day, along with many of his mother's sage teachings.

    Present Life

Quincy is a long standing employee of the Frontier Railway Company as one of its first engineers and earliest conductors. Quincy takes great pride in his role as Conductor-in-Chief, and happily sets an example for other train staff to the best of his ability as a young veteran of the trails.
