Teddy's name accurately describes the state of Theodore Lauret; torn apart and stitched back together. Standing at barely 5'4 and with a frame that has more akin to a wooden pole than an actual human being, he is well noted for his irritatingly bright ginger hair and effeminate voice that always gives him away. His face is more than likely heavily bruised and scarred with perpetually healing lacerations that always seem in the many. His left eye is absent and his right one often shadowed by thick rings beneath the verdant iris. He is missing many teeth from his left side along with half of the corresponding ear [See my lovely scar chart for more]. Looking over the thin hands he only bears his left ring finger and is simultaneously missing most of his right trigger finger. His nails are chewn down to stubs and scars run along the fingertips along with a carving on the left palm. His complexion is pallid and he walks with a dragging limp.
Early Life
Present Life
I. Holmes sweet Holmes
Upon getting off the boat from England and arriving in New Alexandria luck already had turned her back on Teddy for within a week he was already robbed of everything- a blue ring called the Lauret ring- his entire family fortune. It traded hands a few times before making its way to a pawn shop and being bought before sold once more. Leading the frightened boy to enlist the help of Foster Holmes, a detective who was soon to become one of Teddy's greatest friends. He joined the agency as a guest, working as company and manning the bar for clientele and friends alike whilst keeping guard when the time called for it leading him to have a bullet in his side from a gang he'd fight in the very near future. The first few weeks were uneventful but a crumbling foundation for the following months... ________________________________________________________________________________________
II. Broken time
It was not long till the harmlessly eventful work at the agency became something more sinister and threatening. The Levi William's gang had grown in threat and magnitude till the agency was called upon to join in arms with some of it's personal friends. They formed a sort of tunnel-vison vigilante gang known as the Minuetmen, a band of 15 or so people with one task- to kill the gang. A short lived endeavor which saw the boy who could not ride nor shoot learn the ways of the state in the confines of a camp tucked away from sight. He would not stay long however as the fear and pressure of violence grew and grew till it collapsed and he fled back to France upon being reunited with the lost heirloom. He would return after a while to the ashes of the Minuetmen. They had achieved their goal and parted ways as a gang but stayed close knit as a family that Teddy was woven into. During the time he'd come to make more connections and friends via the agency, the most notable of which would soon become his father- Jebediah Wilks. A bounty hunter and close friend of the firm of whom saw to it that Teddy was taken beneath his wing and preserved the pacifism he was so noted for. Meanwhile the connections formed from the Minuetmen had begun to fray as family was drawn into question and a feud had been kindled though arguments with Teddy and the former leader alongside a sadist with a particular eye for the boy. Arguments were spurred and it lead to a pistol across the face at the hand of the Minuetmen signifying his exile from the family. it would only be an hour later that he'd be drinking with death... ________________________________________________________________________________________
