Early Life
Born in 1872 into an affluent immigrant family, William grew up in the western part of St. Denis with 5 siblings. Growing up, his upbringing was primarily focused on the Anglo-American elements of the household though his mother, Jacquelyn, did teach her children some French and customs from France. Finishing the private Catholic school, William moved on to study business in St. Denis before expanding on his degree up North - briefly taking one of his semesters in England.
At the age of 18, he was arranged to be married to a daughter, Claire, of another affluent family, the Duponts. However, not long after her birthday - Claire fell sick and spend most of her time in bed while William took care of her. During this time William was employed at a small Italian immigrant shop owned by Lorenzo Palladino, and in early Spring, his betrothed succumbed to her illness despite attempts made by both doctors from the Dupont family and Oakwood family. She was buried in the Dupont family's cathedral in St. Denis.
During this period of his life, William spent his time in the country-side of St. Denis with Lorenzo's oldest son, Gavino Palladino, whom helped him learn how to fish and hunt whilst practising whittling. A few years following this period, William initiated courtship with a young woman from out-of-state, whom was introduced to him by Gavino in the saloon of Rhodes, though not long after the engagement, she developed a habit of drinking and becoming abusive towards William. One time she arrived at his home in St. Denis and began to shoot bottles she had been drinking. Having grown frustrated with the situation, William dissolved the engagement and left state for some time to focus on his studies. Once having had finished his education, he set up business in St. Denis following taking over his father's previous job meanwhile his oldest brother moved to NYC and began to work there as an accountant.
When he was visiting Blackwater - he met his eventually wife outside the general store, where he had been examining some of the products on the shelf. Maud was a young woman from St. Denis - where she grew up as an orphan, never knowing her family except that they might had been Irish. At some point in 1898, William proposed to her and a year later they became married. Though, William had at the time developed a negative attitude towards not only himself but his surroundings. Something, which he had began to develop during the second engagement and worsened following him ending the engagement. Having grown tired from him, Maud eventually left their home in St. Denis, leaving behind divorce papers and her wedding ring on the kitchen table.
Trying to deal with the loneliness and loss, William spent most of the time outside his home - trying to improve himself and get his thought processes together. He still rarely visit his home in St. Denis, and prefers renting hotel rooms in other towns and cities, though he is slowly returning to live in his home-town.
Present Life
Having had spent most of his time thinking over his actions in the past and looked over what he could do to improve himself, William slowly began to talk to other people again. As he did so, he developed new friendships over the ones he lost in the past.
