Mental Health Support Resources

Mental health can be a very hard topic to speak about but it is so very important. That is because you are important.
Communication can be a hugely critical thing. Reaching out to friends when you are struggling or if you see a friend who is struggling. We are all family and we are all in this together. You are not alone. You are surrounded by friends and loved ones, even if sometimes it doesn't feel like it. Together we can find ways to help each other continue on the fight.

The WWRP staff team are always open to talk (or send cat gifs) when you are struggling and need someone to talk to immediately. We have come together to build this support resource page in the hopes that it will be helpful to you and those around you. Feel free to open a #Support ticket in the discord or message a member of staff directly.

When you are struggling with your own mental health:

It can be extremely hard to reach out to people when you are hurting. Various things that go through your mind when you do try to reach out. Please remember that there are so many that care about you and want to sit and chat with you. Try to let someone know how you are feeling and that you are struggling. Let them know how they can help, be it just someone to chat with or someone to just play games with and be there for you.

YOU ARE IMPORTANT. YOU MATTER. It may be very hard to see right now. There are those that care deeply about you and want to help.

When a friend or loved one is struggling with mental health:

It is very important to be able to listen to them about what they wish to discuss. Sometimes one of the most important things can just be having someone to listen to them and validate that their feelings matter. That they are important and that someone has the time for them. Be aware of what you say to them as certain things don't help as much as you would think.

They need you, they need your love and support. Ultimately though, this is their fight that they must work through. Don't try to fix them or blame them for how they feel. Ask them how you can help the best.

Also, the suicide prevention hotline isn't just for those struggling with those thoughts, but also for those concerned about someone else. You can describe your worries and then get advice on just how you can best be a support for that person.

Below are some good resources on some different conversation points and how you can be part of their support structure.

Always remember, the hardest battles are the ones that we fight with our own minds. You don't have to fight alone. Reach out and find ways to get support where you need it the most.

The staff here at WWRP cherish each and every one of you and want the best for you. We are always willing to speak if you ever just need someone to speak with. Please be kind to each other and try and be that shred of light to anyone you see that needs it.

Sending so much love out to you in this time of need. YOU ARE LOVED.
