Description
Asho is a small, thin but athletic Cherokee Native American with long, dark brown hair kept in a messy ponytail. He wears decorative facepaint designed by himself and others in the tribe. Under the paint can be seen a speckling of freckles in between his dark brown eyes. Being a young, wide eyed boy, he bears very few visible injuries or scars. He is always in a good mood and trying to make people laugh, hence his tribe nickname 'Laughing Puppy' and enjoys sticking to the forests and rivers where he can hide, hunt and gather.
Early Life
Asho's beginning in life was not an easy one. Being born to parents of unknown Native descent, he spent his formative years in the forests learning to survive, hunt and gather for his tribe. However, at the age of 10 his tribe was massacred by an unknown group of bandits during the night. His parents rushed to save their son, they took him into the forest dressed in the little clothes they could find, gave him a knife and some basic supplies and told him to run, keep running and never stop. He was told not to trust anybody but himself. Because of this, he spent the next 8 years alone, avoiding people and hunting to survive. He learned to craft and sew his own clothes, make his own weapons and create shelters to survive, never staying in one place for long. After many years travelling, he finally settled for some time in New Alexandria, in the area of Cumberland Forest.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One day Asho's life changed forever. A sunny, crisp early spring day in February 1902 he was tracking a deer through Cumberland Forest and managed to follow it all the way to Valentine. Having not left the forest since arriving, he was surprised to find such a large, bustling settlement. Being of the curious sort, bow in hand dressed in a long leather coat and a fox headdress, he slowly crept towards the town, observing as he did. Suddenly he heard movement behind him and he swiftly turned to aim his bow. In front of him was a woman, crouched down low holding out her hand. She offered him comfort and he cautiously accepted an offering of food as he lowered his bow. That interaction sparked a lasting friendship and started Asho's introduction into Western life. Since then he has learned to speak fluent English, to read and write and has grown into an expert hunter and a lovable human being with his new family in the Yvwi Detlugv.
Present Life
Currently, Asho resides in Tall Trees with his new family, the tribe that has given him purpose, love and protection to allow him to grow. He travels frequently around the state, meeting everyone he can and trading and selling herbs and meat. He recently became a Forester in the Yvwi Detlugv and continues to learn more about his Native heritage and culture.
You can often find him hunting in all areas of the state, continuing to learn and connect to the forests. He also enjoys visiting the Mother Tree in Big Valley and walking through the streams to reflect and clear his mind. He has gained a reputation as a friendly, helpful Native who is always in good spirits.
