Early Life 

Born in Birmigham Alabam to John and Mary. John and Mary are immigrants from Scotland and Wales and wanted to settle for a new life. John was a farmer with a small head of cattle too and Billy too grew up in the saddle. When Billy got old enough he left to join the US army as he knew farm life was not for him and he joined the 1st Cavalry Regiment. There he learned to hunt , shoot , ride and survive for 5 years until a routine patrol he feel from his horse and broke his leg. As he would not be able to keep up to the same standards as the others he was medically discharged and Billy returned home to Alabama. While recovering from this he shortly after caught a fever and was laid up in bed for 6 months as he watched his father work to the bone alone. When Billy did have the strenght to return to work it was only to see his frail father working 12 hour days for very little. Billy also now struggled with the labour intensive farm work as his lower back and leg was never the same as he struggled to consistantly bend over , lift and ride for long periods. Billy decided he needed a change.

Present Life 

Billy moved to new alexandria with the sole purpose of making money and a better life for himself so he didnt end up like his father. He didnt want a farmers life or to end up working 12 hour shifts in the mine. After meeting Malcolm Chapman and Billys need for work opportunities presented themselves.
