    Description

A large group of Outlaws who patrol all over New Alexandria in search of trouble. Watch yourself as the group rides by, one wrong move and you become the prey they are so very much looking for.

    History

The Callahan Gang was formed around November of 1901, the official date of when the three friends started calling themselves a gang is unknown; Michael Callahan, Andrew Wolfe and William Butcher. The three men rode far and wide around New Alexandria robbing stores and holding up people in order to make a living. None of the men wanted to continue living the life of an outlaw. Fortunately for them, they were approached by a man by the name Nathan Burke. Mr. Burke offered the men a job in his security company, Shadow Firm. The three men agreed to leave the outlaw life to pursue honest business as they had hoped. The men did job after job, met person after person and broadened their circle. They, for once, had friends outside of the three of them.

As time went on, Michael and Andrew grew tired of the security work and NOT receiving any sort of payment out of it. They started up robbing stores and holding people up once again to make money. They offered William a hand in making money side-by-side with them again, but he refused. In fact, after Michael ended up serving some time in Sisika after a store robbery, William often slandered their name to Mr. Burke. Eventually after hearing what Michael and Andrew had been doing whilst working for the Firm, Mr. Burke fired the two men. William stayed with Shadow Firm to continue with business while Andrew and Michael were on their own.

On a dark night in Blackwater, a job fair was set to take place. Andrew and Michael were already in the area and wanted to speak with William. They arrived at the job fair and waited for the festivities to start so that everyone was nice and occupied. Andrew and Michael approached William and the Shadow Firm job fair booth. Mr. Burke and the rest of Shadow Firm asked Michael and Andrew to leave but they brought up having information on William’s father who had long been missing. William followed his old friends down the street alone hoping to gain insight on his father’s whereabouts. As they started talking, Michael and Andrew said goodbye to their old friend before shooting him down for running his mouth. The members of Shadow Firm flooded the street, opening fire on the fleeing men. Michael and Andrew had shot their old friend for abandoning and betraying them.

On the run from the retaliating force that was Shadow Firm, Michael and Andrew continued making money their way, but with a little extra secrecy. They soon found out that William survived his wounds and was in a coma. Mr. Burke and the other Shadow Firm members continued hunting The Callahan Gang down in order to make them pay for what had happened. Eddie Clarke, a good friend of William and Mr. Burke, was out for blood. Eddie used to be good friends with Michael and Andrew, but recent events changed his perspective. Eddie wanted The Callahan Gang more than anyone but had no luck in finding them.

Some time had passed when Michael and Andrew met a man by the name of Daniel Clayton. He shared their passion to make money and also the rush of adrenaline from a life of crime. Daniel soon joined The Callahans in place of William and participated in various crimes. Store robberies, hold ups and even gun fights with local Law Enforcement. The Callahan’s often pressed buttons of Shadow Firm, stealing horses, leaving messages at camps and vice versa. One day, Daniel and Andrew caught Eddie alone in the alley ways of St. Denis and ambushed him. Eddie tried to run but was gunned down in the street before he could reach the telegram office. This would lead to Eddie falling into a coma for a long while. Mr. Burke was now more furious than ever at The Callahan Gang. Mr. Burke called in favors with everyone they were in good standings with, in order to track down the Callahan Gang.

In order to try and gain the upper hand on a group well supplied and rooted, The Callahan Gang kidnapped and tortured Mr. Burke’s girlfriend, Freya Grayson. Michael, Andrew and Daniel were present with the kidnapping while Daniel would torture her for information. This erratic behavior didn’t sit right with Michael and Andrew as they did not agree to torture the young woman. Nonetheless, they moved forward with their new found knowledge of Shadow Firm connections, camps, routines and members. Mr. Burke found out about the kidnapping and, of course, was furious. He ordered hits on The Callahan Gang and wanted to find them at all cost. Shadow Firm rode deep in order to track down the gang which led the Callahan’s to take solitude in Colter.

Mr. Burke challenged the Callahan’s to a fight to end this nonsense. The Callahan’s agreed and the two groups met in Colter. Shadow Firm arrived swiftly to Colter and gave a countdown of 5 seconds before gunning down all Callahan’s but one, Andrew Wolfe. Andrew was pinned down behind a destroyed building with nothing but his trusty bolt action rifle and Schofield Revolver. Andrew expended the ammo of his revolver before switching to his rifle. As Shadow Firm surrounded him like a pack of hungry wolves, Andrew retaliated. He managed to shoot down Nathan and the remaining Shadow Firm swiftly. Andrew then raced to gather his hurt gang and carry them to safety on horseback where he provided medical aid best he could.

After some time had passed, they had recovered best they could while laying low. Shadow Firm continued their hunt for the Callahan’s until one day, they caught Andrew. He was lagging behind Michael and Daniel as they rode around Valentine. Nathan and another member of the Firm surrounded Andrew before shooting him in the chest. Luckily, Michael and Daniel were not far behind and heard the gunshot. They were able to provide quick aid to Andrew as the wound was not severe. Hurt, Andrew and the Callahan’s rode off only to find themselves face-to-face with two lone members of Shadow Firm. Daniel sprung into pursuit where the two Firm members took shelter inside the telegram office of Valentine. Andrew, Michael and Daniel exchanged gunfire with the Firm members eventually gunning them down before riding away swiftly.

Various fights would break out all over the state until The Callahan’s found themselves cornered in Valentine once again. Andrew, Michael and Daniel fled into town to warn local deputies of a shootout that would surely ensue but they didn’t listen. The Callahan’s would be open fired upon leaving Daniel and Michael hurt while Andrew was able to gun down Callie, another Firm member. Michael received medical aid and Sisika time while Andrew was given short time in local jail for disturbing the peace under an alias. Daniel, sadly, did not make it out of that fight in Valentine and succumbed to his wounds.

Time passed and Nathan, Michael and Andrew agreed to meet and settle this war. They held a meeting in Valentine to discuss peace and came to an agreement. The Callahan Gang and Shadow Firm coexisted from that point on.

Moving forward, The Callahan Gang continued growing and expanding. As they grew, more gangs came to challenge them and cause issues but never lasting long. Michael and Andrew now lead a gang as close as family. They can sit back and watch as the group they founded as three friends, has grown to a family of over 20 people. Each having each other’s backs in any situation. The Callahan Gang still rides around New Alexandria to this day making money their favorite way. They are often spotted by their red bandanas and loud nature. As new groups arise and come to challenge The Callahans, they quickly find out that “If you mess with the bull, you get the horns.”
