Early Life
Life Back home
Nathan was born in Carlow, Ireland on the 13th December, 1876. He was born into a family of republicans, His parents were named John and Mary Burke, he had two younger brothers, Patrick and Mikey. Throughout his younger years he trained with his friends & family in guerilla warfare tactics & survival tips. by the time he was 18 years old, he had been in many firefights with his enemy, the crown of England. Him, his two brothers and his cousins were the founders of a highly respected crew named "The 12 apostilles", this crews main aim was to do what was necessary to win the freedom they wanted so bad. He had 7 cousins, all 7 still alive today however all of them are on the run in Scotland. His life Ireland came to a end when a bar fight turned into a fire fight with the son of a powerful English mayor, it ended with the Mayors son dying. Nathan had no choice but to leave the country. He had a letter from his Uncle Michael who left for America years before, the location said New Alexandria, so he bought a ticket for there as soon as he could. He took step in state for the first time on the 10th of October, 1901.
Early Life in the State
He soon came to realize, his uncle had not lived in New Alexandria for many months, and had since moved to New York. not being able to afford another ticket, he decided to stick around and attempt to make some money. On his travels he bumped into a Irish man named Ryan O'Connor, they spoke of home briefly before getting into a altercation with a group named The Krays, this ended with Nathan being shot within hours of his first arrival. While receiving medical help in Rhodes a friend of Ryan O'Connor's showed up, Eddie Clarke. Eddie was from Camden, London and the 3 became friends quite quickly. It was around this time that Nathan met a old man named Olaf Olsen, he spoke of becoming the Dock master in Saint Denis and offered Nathan a job. Nathan took his P.O down and went on his way, trying to find a way to make money while waiting for Olaf to finish his paper work for the docks.

That is when he saw a telegram from Benedict Point, New Austin asking for somebody who wanted a job to head on down, curiosity getting the better of him, he headed down, he makes it down to benedict point, he sees a well dressed man standing at the porch of the telegram station.
He introduced himself as Arnold Heidenreich, and he said he was in need of some simple security. With Nathan's experience in tactics, fighting and surviving he deemed it fairly straight forward.
A few days had passed, Nathan had been living in Tumble Weed with Arnold and one other member of security, Arnold told him there was to be a meeting in Armadillo, he asked him to wear a oddly similar outfit to the one Arnold was wearing, assuming it was a uniform of sorts he put it on and headed into Armadillo. he quickly realized that Arnold was on the run, he was meeting with Bounty hunters to pay them off, Nathan had no idea who Arnold truly was. Arnold conversated with one bounty hunter in the street, who he found out later to be Boyd Langston, they headed into the saloon afterwards, this is when things took a turn for the worst. Boyd pulled a gun and aimed it at Arnold, a second bounty hunter, who he later found to be Tod Jones came around the corner of the saloon and aimed a gun at Nathan, Nathan and Arnold both pulled guns at this point, it ended with both Nathan and Arnold getting shot.
They were both put in cells in armadillo, Nathan was unable to speak due to slipping in and out of consciousness, the deputies continued to attempt to find out who he was, unable to speak Arnold said that his name was William Cuttle, Nathan came to eventually however it was too late, he did not realize they thought he was William Cuttle and they charged him with everything William was wanted for, Nathan not knowing what they were talking about pleaded not guilty due to not actually comiting a single crime they convicted him for.
A man outside of the Jail Cells, later to be found as Boone Jackson, was asking to come and ID 'William Cuttle' too make sure it was really him, his offer was denied swiftly and from that point on Nathan served over 4000 months in Sisika, awaiting a trial. It was at this point he recalled having Olaf Olsen's P.O, he sent him a letter, letting him know of the situation, Olaf gave him the name of a Lawyer who Nathan contacted, he explained it all and they began working together on it, The lawyers name was Ora O'Connor.
While in Sisika, he met Boone Jackson, the man from Armadillo that wanted to ID him. They spoke about many things, including a security company that Boone ran with his family, The Remnants. This was the first time Nathan had ever heard of them, it would not be the last. Eventually Nathan was released from Sisika, all charges being dropped against him. He was extremely glad to have his freedom once again, however there was no time to celebrate, he instantly began working for Mr Olsen on the docks. During this time he met a fellow employee of Mr Olsen, Wallace Bithrow.
Himself and Wallace became good friends quite quickly. They shared many common traits and opinion's, they eventually decided to make a business of there own, a security company.
Shadow Firm
Shadow Firm was founded by Nathan and Wallace in late October, both of them having experience in all the necessary fields to be successful, except being businessmen.
They began promoting the business asking around if anyone needed there services, it didn't lead to much business for the first month or so, they expanded to some other fields such as Private investigations. It was around this time where they hired the first employee, Louie Pace. Louie was from Texas, Wallace actually thought him how to shoot a gun when he first came to state.
At this time there was not much work, and the structure and look of the business was pretty bad. Many people seen the company as pushy salesmen, the uniforms at the time came across as people that wanted to look big and bad, all of this was due to Wallace & Nathan's lack of business knowledge

These days were mostly spent in Rhodes & Saint Denis, and they were usually unproductive. They struggled to get there name out there and they struggled to find employees, Thankfully Mr Olsen sponsored the company with $200 to purchase a poster from Dr. Ozz. the print master based out of Saint Denis. This did help and after some time they received some private investigation cases, they also got some new employees around this time also.
Including:: Seamus Devane, Miguel Castro, Decker Slade, Leroy Smith, Michael Callahan,
Andrew Wolfe, Rust McKeown, William Butcher, Harrison Lombard
This time of the company's life saw a lot of employees come and go, It was also around this time that Wallace passed away. His death came as a big blow to the company as a whole, Louie and Nathan especially.
In Wallace's passing, Louie assumed his 50% of the company and Nathan and Louie began working the company. Louie was able to handle the work load quite well along side with Nathan. They got a camp in Rhodes and they began fixing many problems within the company.
Also around this time Michael Callahan and Andrew Wolfe began doing some crime, Nathan looked past it for some time until it came down to the blackwater shooting.
The Blackwater shooting was a situation where at a job fair, Michael Callahan & Andrew Wolfe shot there once best friend 3 times and left him to die. This was in response to William Butchers
opinion on there recent activity's. This would be the first strike the 'The Callahan Gang' ever made towards Shadow Firm as a company. Nathan, in response to this did not do much as he wanted to speak with William about how he wanted to handle it, thankfully he survived but just barely. This was not the last strike The Callahan Gang made towards the Firm, However it would come to a boiling point when The Callahan Gang Kidnapped Nathan's then partner, Freya Grayson. The Gang Kidnapped and tortured her for the location of camps, names of Allies and other information.
This was the start of the Callahan war. Once Freya had been returned, a big posse rode up to the last known location of the gang, Colter. A shootout ensued, one where everyone but one member of the Callahan gang was shot, this was the first strike back The Firm and The Remnants took against the Callahan's.

Tit for tat shootouts between the firm and the Callahan's would Follow this one, after the shooting of Andrew Wolfe by Nathan & Colt outside of Valentine, a shootout happened in valentine after, it was messy and many people were shot. This was the first the public had truly seen of the war, it was not a good look for the company however it had gotten to a point where everyone had to travel in groups of 4 with weapons ready, just in case, it was a matter of survival for everyone involved.
After the torturing of Freya, The Firm had to relocate, the decided on the Horseshoe Overlook camp, Naming it SRC Camp, Shadow Remnant Carvahlo, These 3 groups would stick together and grow extremely loyal to each other during this time. The camp served as hub for everyone, it was a place of safety and entertainment for the groups. There was always somebody in SRC or something happening in SRC.

The war came to a end when 3 members of the firm, Callie Maul, Iosef Devlin & Colt Calloway had one last gunfight in Valentine against Daniel Clayton, Michael Callahan and Andrew Wolfe, it ended with the death of Daniel Clayton and the Firm being put under serious investigation. After this gunfight occurred the Callahan's asked for peace. Peace talks began once compensation was given to the firm for the damages caused. After this a time of peace came upon the firm.
Present Life
Changes.
After the end of the war, quite a lot changed in Nathan's life. Work was going well, He had began hosting boxing events along side Robert Murdoch & Sigyn Durani for the West side of the state, This was in partnership with the Castillo's boxing events in the east, He had been spending more time with The Remnants and enjoyed there company. Towards the end of February, early March he had found himself having feelings for Iris Dranger, this put him in a difficult spot, one he would struggle to get himself out of.
It was also around this time that 4 of his closest friends had found themselves in Sisika for long sentences after the break out of Jimmy Hersh, including Iris, Robert, Sigyn and Michael O'Brien. Nathan decided to become a remnant, he wanted to open Businesses for the remnants and help improve the name of the remnants as many ways as possible.
Once both Nathan and Iris were made aware of how the other felt, Nathan made sure to visit almost every single day, spending a hour
with Iris meant the world to him. He knew that there was a high chance that she may never be free again, he didn't care, as long as he got to be with her.
Thankfully she would eventually get parole and she would be freed, allowing both Nathan & Iris to live the life they spoke about so often during the Sisika Visits. Both of them are extremely happy in the relationship, they have a new home, and even adopted a dog, NodensAffiliations
