Description 

Standing tall at 6 feet, 2 inches, with deep jet black hair in a mess. Carl has an average build but toned due to his regular activity of being a fighter. He has a well groomed goatee, and has various outfits consisting of darker colors, his sleeves always rolled up. He also always wears his signature ornate gunbelt, gray in color with a silver floral print.

Early Life 

Carl Draven was born in the rolling Midwest Plains on August 5th, 1874. A son to a Union war veteran turned Saloon owner and to a tailoring mother, life was spent mostly in between three places: Home, school, and the saloon. Carl had picked up early work helping sweep up and clean the glasses at the Saloon, often seeing the late nightlife that places such as this had to offer: Women, gambling, drink, merriment, and money. While they weren't poor, the Draven Family wasn't well off by any means, either. He saw money go hand over fist every night he was cleaning up. By his late teens, he was posing as a highwayman, horse and wagon thief, and fencer, operating out of his own fathers saloon, which he had learned the trade from not only him, but the regulars from the saloon as well. Garnering the money he was making was not only the life he wanted, but for his family as well: Secure, not poor, and living well above their own means.

On a summer evening in 1902, Carl was conducting business in a saloon a few days ride from home, gathering information on a rather expensive wagon locked up near a train station, when he had spotted a rather wealthy but completely inebriated patron. Seeing this as an easy score while out of town, he was following said patron out, bumping into him on purpose as if he tripped to try to grab the pocket watch chain hanging from his side, securing a great deal of funds due to the price it could fetch. From this, he reached an epiphany: Why be so brazen when you can be discreet and make more without being caught? He decided change was in order, and moved to New Alexandria to try to set up the same operations and schemes he had running prior. Loyal to a fault, he won't mind setting up business relationships with others throughout the lands, nor even being aided by a gang, that not only has the same intentions in mind, but well established and wise setups.

Present Life 

As of April 1903, Carl stands as a current high ranking member of Overwatch, with the title of "General". When the Vagabonds became defunct, many of the members leaving state, along with the passing of his close friend Deacon Johnson, he took what remained of the group, folding them into the Overwatch. As a front, he poses as a Security Overseer, overlooking the members hired to provide security for various events and court proceedings in the State. Behind the scenes, his role and position is comprised of being given names to either gather information on, or to find out the punishment, be it a simple threat, a beating, or death. His repertoire and reputation to civilians is the friendly, talkative bartender from the Crossroads Saloon, a bar ran in Valentine by Theo "Greek" Tazinas, as well as a strong security guard. To the gangs amongst the State, a factual, respectful, and punctual criminal, which took a long time to build following the stained reputation caused by rumors of the Vagabonds. He gathers information and meets everybody he can in the State to keep himself and his group safe, deflecting any drama and fights.

Trivia 

Carl is a gun nut, and always enjoys his wide armament at his disposal, and seeing the different designs people come up with to make their gun their own.

Carl speaks fondly of the city he grew up close by to(Chicago). While he preferred the rolling countryside he grew up in, city life was not for him, he enjoyed visiting for a day or two, taking in the sights & cuisine that was the Windy City.

Carl still wears his blue floral bandana from his time in the Vagabonds from time to time, keeping it in his vest pocket in case he needs to use it in a moments notice. His backup bandana was given to Fenna Lasky.

His preferred liquor of choice is Gin, and then Rum if none is available, but will drink whatever is given to him.

His favorite spot in the State is Calumet Ravine.
