A kind-hearted to-old orphan, Kristallen's large stature belies her caring nature. The daughter of an army Chaplin, she has little knowledge of her parents outside of her father's journal. Were she not illiterate she may have been a deputy by now, but her struggles learning to read and write have sent her down the path of being a cook instead.
The reality of her circumstances never seemed to bother Krista. Despite the downtrodden state of the orphanage or the less than savory proprietors that worked there, Krista was always able to find the good in every situation. The matrons dismissed her as naive and eventually stupid when she struggled with her schooling. As a result, she eventually found herself rotating through a list of chores that could be used as jobs in the real world. Working in the kitchen is where she found her footing, and the path she now pursues since aging out of the orphanage.
She is currently and actively pursuing her own business as a cook and does catering on the side and works full time as a cook for a large homestead.
She doesn't keep a journal as she can't read or write.
