Raised by her devoted parents, Melker and Alma Lantz, Mimmi was a gentle, deeply observant child from her very first years. When her younger brother, Liam, was born, an innate protective instinct bloomed within her. Even as a young girl, she naturally stepped into the role of a big sister, watching over Liam with an endearing tenderness and an unspoken resolve to keep him safe from the harshness of the world around them.

That harshness, however, was impossible to escape entirely. The Lantz family were open, practicing members of the Covey, a mystical order viewed with deep-seated suspicion, fear, and prejudice by the surrounding community. Because of the townspeople’s distrust toward the order, Mimmi’s family was pushed to the extreme margins of society. They lived in profound poverty, struggling day to day to secure basic necessities. While other children in Gothenburg played in fine clothes and enjoyed the comforts of secure homes, Mimmi grew up wearing mended hand-me-downs, eating modest meals stretched to their absolute limit, and enduring the cold, judging glares of strangers whenever her family walked through town.

Yet, within the humble walls of her home and the embrace of the Covey, Mimmi’s childhood was rich with an entirely different kind of wealth. Over years of grueling, hands-on study, Mimmi bridged ancient herbalism with formal science, mastering field surgery, emergency wound care, suturing, and clinical medicine amidst the chaotic backdrop of Gothenburg's dockyards.

As she grew older, Mimmi's unique blend of medical skill and fierce, selfless protectiveness over her little brother Liam caught the attention of a local academy principal. Seeing something truly special and honorable in her nature, he saw past the rumors surrounding her family and granted her the rare opportunity to study police enforcement. After completing her training, she served as a dedicated deputy for two years, frequently acting as both an officer of the law and the sole medic in critical situations. However, the financial strain on her family and the Covey remained heavy back home. Driven by her deep devotion to those she loved, Mimmi made the difficult decision to leave Gothenburg behind and make the long journey to New Alexandria. Stepping into this new land, her goal remained clear and steadfast: to earn enough money to support her parents, provide for young Liam, and send vital aid back to the Covey that had raised her.

Present Life 

Witch of the Badge
Shortly after her arrival in New Alexandria at the end of July, Mimmi’s transfer to the sheriff's office was finalized, and Esme Flood handed over her new badge and keys. She had been deeply anxious about how the state would react to her, fearing judgment for her beliefs. To her relief, the community welcomed her warmly, showing acceptance despite her coven ties, tarot readings, and connection to the craft. Through it all, her dog, Kotte, stayed by her side, keeping her calm on long, solitary rides across the state.

It wasn't long before Mimmi stumbled upon Strawberry. She instantly fell in love with the quiet little town and decided to make it her home, setting up a tent in a cozy area near the stables. By early August, she officially established her own venture, Midsommar Ranch, operating right out of Strawberry.

She had a tattoo done by Ephraim Krew featuring five of her favorite runes running in a vertical line down the middle of her back: Algiz for protection, Uruz for health and vitality, Berkana for healing, Ehwaz for loyalty, and Ingwaz for the seed and harvest.

Affiliations

Born directly into the tradition and safety of the Covey, Mimmi was raised on its values of deep loyalty and communal care from her very first breath. She serves her people as a trusted herbalist and healer, using her lifelong knowledge of ancient folk remedies to keep her family and community safe.

New Alexandria Sheriff's Office (July, 1905 - Currently)
After coming to New Alexandria as a transfer, her hope is to earn money to send back home to the Covey, her family and friends who need it. She balances her patrol duties with serving as a doctor, taking on the dangerous work of keeping the peace so she can build a better future for her people back home in Sweden.

Midsommar Ranch (August, 1905 - Currently)
Building Midsommar Ranch from the ground up, Mimmi experienced every step of its transformation, watching it expand from just a lone tent and a dream into a thriving, full-fledged ranch.
