Description 

Saffron was born to unknown parents in Stockholm, Sweden in 1881. Saffron is a very short white woman. She has scars on her right cheek, very light, almost white-ish eyes and white hair. She used to have brown hair but it suddenly turned white over time. Saffron did also dye her hair black for a while but stopped after going insane.

She could be considered being somewhat stupid with her behavior but she is simply not used to being around people and doesn't quite understand how to behave. She talks in third person, can be happy one second and the next really mad, most of the time Saffron is talking very fast, being a little menace and making jokes. She's like a stick of dynamite, ready to explode at any second.

She used to be quite dumb and childish but after going insane Saffron turned incredibly quiet and reserved, her temper is still quite bad and she could turn aggressive within seconds but at least she's somewhat smarter now and speaks properly, that is if she speaks with you at all.

Early Life 

Saffron doesn't have many memories from her childhood other than living in a orphan home under the floorboards. She wasn't allowed to go outside or make friends which is the reason to why she's a bit odd. When she turned 18 the orphanage was burned down and the people who did it took Saffron in. The group did crime together and treated Saffron like a little sibling. But in July, 1903 the group took a boat to New Alexandria and abandoned Saffron there. Saffron still has no idea why they left her here. But if they ever return Saffron has a gift for them, involving kneecaps.

The reason Saffron is so obsessed with kneecaps is because in the orphanage she grew up in, the children would be punished by the caretakers that would hit them on the kneecaps till they got all bloody, scarred and unable to walk properly. Saffron always covers her knee's with bandages now. The scar on her cheek is caused from a knife being repeatedly cut through her cheek, it was also a form of punishment by the orphanage when her knees were to badly hurt. Saffron always tries to cover her face since, not wanting to see the scars on her face and remember the dark memories of her childhood. Which is why today you most likely will only find Saffron with some sort of mask on.

Present Life 

Saffron got abandoned in New Alexandria in July 1903. Since then she's met many people and befriended a handful too. Including The Leone Family whom she's quite close with. She's very attached to her friends and will do anything for them. She also does still commit crimes, except in Saint Denis since her friends told her not to do anything there. One particular person Saffron met is Luca Santino whom she formed a very strong bond with very fast. Saffron sees Luca as a big brother and would take a hundred kneecaps for him. She's very attached to him.

Saffron ended up being adopted by Luca's mother in late August. Suddenly Saffron gained a bunch of new family members and she couldn't be happier. Saffron also made friends with another gang, The Cards whom also take care of Saffron and make her feel cared for. She really likes the members of The Cards and tends to become very excited when they're around.

In the end Saffron joined The Cards, and her brother Luca Santino joining shortly after her too. Saffron is very close with The Cards and she loves them very dearly, she'll do anything for them. Just like how she'll do anything to make sure Luca is well and safe. And now they've both joined the same gang, The Cards. Saffron finally feels wanted and needed by people she calls family. And Saffron does anything for family. Especially The Cards whom have shown her kindness and love like never before.

In September, 1903, most of the Cards moved away. Saffron stayed though and was told it was the sheriff's office fault they left. She received a letter from her big brother Luca that he had to move away, and it caused an extreme reaction in Saffron. Not only did she get that letter from her big brother but "Lady D" also came and gave a final goodbye before moving away with the others. Saffron received multiple things from "Lady D" including her customized sawn-off, customized cattleman, customized Springfield rifle believed to be stolen from Henriette Fjelholl, a already paid for train ticket, Shawn Hurst's badge and her primary horse Lyssa. Due to The Cards having to move away and them telling Saffron that it's the sheriff's office fault, it made something snap inside of Saffron. She's never been the same since. But the one thing she knows is that she'll forever be a card no matter what and that she promised to "give them hell", and she will.

In late October, 1903, after Morty Detwiler pretended to be a man named "Roy" and acting like Saffron's friend she lost all trust in people when she found out he was simply pretending. She no longer trusts anyone except her family (The Cards) and her adoptive family (The Santino's). She's gone so far off the deep end there might not be any part of her left worth saving. There's only one person she refuses to hurt, Russell Turner, the one man in state still being kind to her. But as of lately she doesn't know if she can trust anybodies kindness anymore, maybe not even Russi. She's alone, afraid, angry and feels betrayed by all deputies and marshal's, maybe even by the whole state of New Alexandria. Saffron only feels like she has one purpose left at this point, to kill all liars.

Saffron eventually went insane in November 1903 after feeling like nobody cares for her, that nobody wants her nor want to be with her. So she left and disappeared into the mountains. She stopped speaking so much and changed her behaviour. Saffron even stole books from the Saint Denis library before running away so she could practice her reading and writing. Her language slowly started getting better until she somewhat started sounding like a normal person. Even stopped talking in third person. Whoever the old childish and dumb Saffron was is gone, and the new Saffron is unknown territory.

Affiliations 

The Leone Family (1903-1903)
Saffron sort of by accident became close to multiple people in the Leone Family, now she's basically been adopted by them since they take care of her and make sure she's alright. She left them after joining The Cards. And with Luca leaving them to join The Cards as well she has no reason to be with them.

The Cards (1903-Presently)
Saffron joined The Cards after becoming very close with most of them. Finally feeling wanted and needed by people. She feels very attached to all of them and will do anything for them. Even if basically all The Cards moved away and left her she still considers herself a card.

Trivia
