Description 

Charles O'Shea is a baby-faced cowpoke. He is a calculating and compassionate individual. When crossing the mountains into the state Charlie sought for a simple life on a ranch.

Early Life 

Charlie O'Shea was born 1874 to immigrant parents, Robert and Mary O'Shea at sea, on the crossing from England. They lived in the Irish slums of Manhattan in a small twelve by twelve feet apartment. Charlies father, Robert was an Irish steel worker from Dublin. Charlie is the eldest of two brothers, his brother Thomas is several years his junior. He claims that he and his family moved to Kansas in 1890 to escape the violent and disease ridden slums of New York. By this time Charlie's mother was now single, his father Robert was a drunk and his mother had chosen to move on with her children.

A few years later, Charlie's mother remarried before being diagnosed with tuberculosis and the family moved again, this time to the drier climates of New Mexico where it was hoped Mary would be recover. She died some months later and step-father John moved back to Kanas with younger brother Thomas. Charlie, now in his twenties chose to stay behind and he headed over the mountains for New Alexandria in December 1899.

Shortly after his arrival in New Alexandria, Charlie found himself incarcerated alongside Pistol Pete following a botched store robbery in Valentine. Though convicted Charlie claims innocence and that he was lured into taking part in the robbery. Once a free man again, Charlie found employment at The Tipsy Cow Trading Post at Emerald where despite his record, he worked for several weeks. There he met Tommy True who purchased Charlie his first rifle. During his employment at the ranch, Charlie honed his talents with a firearm and regularly patrolled the ranch fence lines. He claims to have fended off several bands of poachers during his time there.

Present Life 

Charlie is a former employee of the Tipsy Cow Trading Post and aspiring young cowpoke, he travelled into New Austin where he had hoped to join up with Lincoln McCormick's New Austin Rangers in the Spring of 1900.

Charlie joined up with relatives in Saint Denis, The O'Shea Family in the Summer and some months after that, Charlie abandoned the family and went on the run. It was presumed he headed West back into New Austin.
