A tall man with dark brown hair, five o'clock shadow, and brown eyes. Most commonly seen sporting sleeveless vests, crossed bandoliers, and a hat with bullets wrapped around it. Most recognizable with his hulking physique, chiseled jawline, high cheekbones and large chin.

Early Life

1880's - 1890's​

Born long ago in Huntsville, Ontario, Jason Black was raised by his Tennessee born father and Ontario born mother. His mother barely spoke, while his father could never keep quiet, thus causing Jason to pick up his southern drawl.

When Jason was 10 years old, his family home was invaded in the middle of the night by bandits. His father fortunately was able to defend their home, killing each of the bandits one by one. The last bandit to die was cowering in their outhouse while Jason watched from his bedroom window. After this event, Jason realized that the world is a dangerous place and that he would need to learn how to defend himself by any means necessary.

When he was 19, Jason wandered the throughout the United States and Canada to find somewhere he could call home and learn how to take care of himself.

Present Life

1901​

March 1901​

In March of 1901, he found himself in New Alexandria. Unsure of what he wanted to do in this state, Jason realized that he needed to first get a decent horse and a gun. So Jason spent most of his days mining in Annesburg until he was able to buy a Lancaster Repeater.

Eventually Jason met a man named Ashley Joanne Smith in Saint Denis, who would later become his best friend. Together Ash and Jason worked together to make money in the mines in the hopes they could buy the resources they needed to become hired guns or security. Jason's wish was granted as one day while roaming Valentine, he was approached by a man named Wayne Kennedy. Wayne complimented Jason's repeater and said that he looked like a man who could handle himself and that Wayne's group, The Boston Blinders, could use a man like Jason. He immediately accepted the offer with Ash and within a few weeks, he hung up his leather vest and bullet hat; and put on a suit, tie, and flat cap as an official Blinder.

Boston Blinder Days​

As a Blinder, Jason got a taste of the good life. Doing jobs for the family made Jason feel on top of the world. Jason made money, had contacts, and was recognized as a man of honor. He knew if he ever needed anything, he could talk to any of his Blinder family.
Things were relatively slow, Jason looked forward to participating in shootouts. During his time as a Blinder, Jason participated in the war against the Kings in Blackwater, he unfortunately did not participate in any of the shootouts that took place as he often slept in, but he did participate in any stakeouts that were being held, provided there was no dust, but for the most part, Jason's participation in the Blinders often was associated with security for events, since Jason is a built individual, the job suited him perfectly.
After a while, the Blinders' leaders went missing leaving the remaining members to disband into other groups or to form new groups.

Wandering Days​

After the Blinders had disbanded, Jason and Ash wandered the state looking for work. While Ash spent time at the saloon, getting drunk and trying to flirt with everyone, Jason asked around Valentine for people who were hiring. Jason wanted to turn a new leaf and put his Blinder days behind and see if he could get a job as a security guard for some of the local Businesses. He eventually overheard some ranchers talking about hiring some more help for cattle drives, so Jason offered his and Ash's services. They participated in one cattle drive. The drive was successful but a few of the cows were missing, believed to be stolen. His employers knew about Jason's past and asked him to use any of his contacts to see if there was any signs of the missing cows. Jason did what he could, but had no luck, thus his days as a rancher were cut short.
