Description 

The Ashen are a group of people driven by greed, trying to come up with ideas on how to make a profit wherever they go. A gang and not a family, they are annoyed by the concept of family and don’t believe in such soft ideas. They see each other as an opportunity to make a profit, but the Ashen will always have each other's backs (as long as it means meeting their goals).

The Ashen laid claim to Strawberry, keeping an eye on the town and work to make it as peaceful as possible. Discord brings the law, and they do not want to deal with the law in any shape or form.

The group is all for the money. Shootouts with the law aren’t profitable, so they always try to get out of standoff situations with no bloodshed. However, they are firm believers of tit for tat; extreme punishments are only for those who strike them first.

One of Jethro’s quotes that has now become his creed is “Gang comes first. Money comes second. All is prey!”

History 

The group formed when Jethro Vern, Ash Larsen and Francine Webb, three like-minded individuals met in Sisika while serving sentences for crimes committed all around the state of New Alexandria. All three had the same goal; Money, and lots of it. After leaving Sisika, they began their journeys across the state. They found even more individuals that shared the same vision. The first two members to join their ranks were Emily Sinclaire and Seth Silver.

After Seth grew comfortable with the gang, he introduced two of his former associates from The Boulder gang to the others: Amber and Onyx. Their first big job as a gang was robbing the bank of Valentine. Their heist was successful. Realizing that banks were much more profitable, the Ashen have made bank robbing one of their top priorities.

Some time after the first bank, one of Jethro's old friends decided to come to the state. Lucky and Jethro met up again, talking about their joined past and the successful, profitable present. Believing Lucky would be a good fit for the gang, Jethro offered Lucky a spot in the Ashen.

Soon after, the Ashen met with The Colemans, a gang residing on the east side of the state. The two gangs found that they worked together well. They befriended one another and became allies. It was because of this alliance that Rowena, long-time Coleman member, became one of the Ashen.

After a while Jethro has met with a rather peculiar individual Isabel Gray that has decided to take advantage of his wound and rob him. After getting robbed, the Ashen have found her and decided to give her a chance for redemption. After Jethro realizing that she has an obsession for shiny things, he decided to give her the nickname Crow.

Another member gathered during their endeavors was Whelan Wodehouse. Whelan, a gambler with noble blood and massive debt, left his country and came to New Alexandria. He was looking to make a profit. What better place was there for him than the Ashen? Given his last name, Rowena decided to give him the name Teak (like the wood) .
