Hello Wild West Roleplayers!
We have made the decision as a team that the in character “HHO” or Habitual Heinous Offenders Act is something we would like to completely remove from our in character environment. This law was originally founded to help enforce pacing of very violent and intentional crimes where criminals would torture and murder and be back out on the mainland with few consequences.
Why are we removing it?
It was a nice idea on paper, but in practice it has created a lot of extra work for LEO, created unfun experiences for criminal characters that punished the player, not the character, and added unnecessary stress to the legal system.
In return, in the future, you can expect to see some changes to the times associated with those serious charges to compromise with this change.
