Summary
A Nasty plague came through valentine, inflicting illness across the region and forcing people to get away from Valentine for a time or risk catching the plague. Some of the symptoms of the plague included:
Stage One
Blurred Vision
Exacerbated Cough (coughing attack)
Fatigue (extreme tiredness resulting from mental or physical exertion or illness)
Vomiting
Reduced appetite
Stomach cramps
Malaise (a general feeling of discomfort, illness, or unease)
Fever (high temperature as the body attempts to fight off illness)
Stage Two
Loss of consciousness (fading in and out)
Pale complexion (most likely their system is failing)
Extreme fatigue
Severe pain
Increased vomiting
Increased coughing
Increased blurred vision
Stage Three
Fatality (death)
Purpura (bruising and redness on the skin due to organ failure)
Dehydration
Manic paranoia
Organ failure
Internal bleeding (which has a high chance of causing death)
History
These sorts of plagues tended to formulate around large gatherings of people for long periods of time, acting as a natural way to separate and isolate people, as well as of course kill them should they not survive the illness.
Long Term Effect(s)
Increased Skepticism around sicknessess. As the citizentry of New Alexandria would take precautions to try and prevent another plague like this from occurring, in order to keep their friends, family, and other loved ones safe.
