    When Piper was three years old travelling in a wagon with her parents, they were robbed on the road. Her parents were murdered, left to be eaten by gators in the swamp they had been going through. She was hidden away under a mangrove tree, where she was found by Alexander Delgato. He took her home, where she was quickly accepted into the family.
